We haven't actually had very many hot days this summer (you will NOT hear me complain!), so when it reached the upper 90's this week, we blew up Caylee's pool and let her play in the backyard! We had so much fun watching her! She loves the slide, punching the turtle head, and sticking her face under the water! What a great day!

We had a little cookout a few weekends ago! We blew up a little pool from Dollar General and turned a sprinkler on! The kids loved it! While I was in the house getting a few things ready to go on the grill, Daddy let Caylee get in the pool without her swimsuit on! I thought it was too cute! For some reason I didn't take many pictures but here are a few I did manage to get!

Sometimes in the morning, after breakfast, if I am trying to get ready for work, I will turn on Caylee's favorite movie, close all the doors of the rooms Caylee can't go into to, and get ready in my bathroom while she kinda roams the house! She usually ends up in the bathroom with me, emptying out "her" drawer! However, this particular morning, I noticed she was being very quiet and hadn't mosied into the bathroom yet. I decided to check and see what she was doing! This is what I found!

I think she thought she was going to be in trouble! She kept saying "Uh, Oh"!
When she figured out I didn't care if she was sitting in her baby's stroller, she thought she was so cool! She sat in that stroller for a good 30 minutes! I am putting this in my mind bank for the next time we need to figure out a way for her to be still and quiet for awhile!

We haven't taken professional pictures of Caylee in awhile, so my mom jumped at the idea on Easter Sunday! And boy am I glad she did! We have some cute stuff of her in her cute Easter dress Nams bought for her! Thanks Nams! We are so rich! Thank you, Lord!

Any of you that have ever had a 13 month old know how much time you spend chasing them around and how little time you have to update your blog! Ha! Caylee is doing so well! She is growing like a weed! She is into everything! She loves giving everything and everyone hugs while saying "Ohhhhhh"! She really has such a sweet little personality and a big heart! And she definately has her fair share of spunk! She is starting to talk, not so much words, but complete sentences! She will babble away and then all of a sudden say something just as clear as day! It is so funny to hear her say things like "I want down" and "I want that"! We are enjoying every minute with our sweet little girl! This is a hard blog for me to write though! The pictures make her look like a little girl and not a baby anymore! Hope everyone is doing great and we love you all!

The Big O-N-E!!!

We cannot believe Caylee is a year old! It doesn't seem real! We had her "big" party on Sunday afternoon, January 31, at my parents house in Petersburg! Because of all the snow, Ken and Jeanette didn't get to come in and neither did my brother Austin and his wife JoAnna! But, we had lots of friends that made the party! I made Caylee's cake, a three-tiered chocolate & strawberry cake with strawberry icing. As you can see from the pics, she LOVED it! She ate half of the top tier all by herself! Caylee gots lots of cute, cute clothes, and several babydolls! This year has been filled with so many blessings and fun times! We love our little girl so much and can't imagine our life without her! Thanks to everyone who participated in Caylee's birthday and made it such a fun day!

Caylee is 11 months old! Walking is now her preferred choice of mobility! And she has figured out how to clap her hands, so she walks around clapping for herself! It is so funny! And I am proud to announce, drum roll please............Her hair is long enough for pigtails! Well, sort of! It doesn't stay for very long, but this has a lot to do with how extremely busy she has so quickly become! You know I'm loving that she is getting enough hair to actually "style"! We can't believe she is almost 1 year old! It doesn't seem possible! Everyday is filled with so much joy because of her and we feel so blessed God has chosen us as her parents! I've been working on party stuff for her birthday and am getting close to deciding on her cake! (Since I will be making it, I have to figure out what I am actually capable of!) No matter what I decide, I'm know for a fact she will LOVE it because she definately has a sweet tooth!

We decided to take Caylee's 10 month pictures with a Christmas theme! She did so good, and we were able to change outfits twice! Yea! This adorable Christmas onsie and tutu were made by Deborah Creech, a friend of the family's that used to live in Meridian! Thanks so much, Deborah, we love it! Christmas has always been fun, but we had no idea how much fun a child brings! And how much it makes you remember what Christmas is all about! I hope this Christmas brings you all lots of good fellowship, fun and food! But most of all, I hope you take some time to think about the true meaning of Christmas and the Baby that was born to die for you and me! Love you all,

We took Caylee Trick-or-Treating for a bit with some friends, and then my parents had a Halloween party for several of our close friends! We had stew, frito pies, jalapeno poppers and cheese dip! Yummy! And lots and lots of desserts and candy! It was so much fun! All the kids' costumes were great and they all played so well together! Hope you all had a great night as well!

Does she not look just like Collin?!? We got her this hat at the Lincoln County Cowboy Symposium! We put Dad's Circle F brand on the back of it and another fellow cook/friend gave her an armadillo hat pin! She loved it! She wore it all afternoon on Friday and almost all day on Saturday! She cried when we tried to take it off! I can't even tell you guys how many people took pictures of her in her hat! I will try to post more pics of this weekend soon!

Collin so graciously brought home his bunker gear this weekend so my mom could take Caylee's 7 month pictures! These are my favorite pictures of her yet! She is growing so fast! She is all but crawling, pulling up on everything, and trying to walk around the furniture! I forsee lots of bruises in our near future! She has NO fear. I didn't think it was possible, but my Dad was right, every stage does get better!

Caylee participated in her 2nd chuckwagon cookoff this past weekend in Lubbock! It was so much fun and she did great! My dad made her this awesome swing out of cedar, and she was so proud to sit in it! She loved it! What a treasure! We did great in the cookoff, winning 2nd place out of 22 wagons! We had Caylee's pink JD cowboy boots on her in the pics with the denim dress, but that didn't last long! She is at least part me, she hates to wear shoes! The other pics are of her in her chuckwagon dress!

Caylee can now take a bath in the regular bath tub, which is much better for us as we don't have to mop the kitchen floor every night! She still loves bath time! She splashes, sings and as you can see, tries to eat every bath toy! FUN TIMES!

Weiner Dog Races - Hilarious!
She almost made it all the way through the parade! Connie (a lady that used to keep me in the church nursery and who now lives in Abernathy) couldn't resist the urge to hold her! It is so wonderful to have good friends!

There was a great classic car show! The little girl on the turquoise bike is one of the twins that live next door to us!

We took Caylee to the Abernathy Centennial July 4th Celebration Saturday morning! We had so much fun, despite the extremely hot weather! We started the morning off with an hour-long parade, followed by weiner dog races, business open-houses, jewelry and knick-knack booths, and great fresh-squeezed lemonade! We saw lots of people we knew, and enjoyed visiting with old friends! What a great day!

Since we started Caylee eating cereal with a spoon, we decided to get some rice cereal crackers and see if she liked them.

Collin's granddad turned 95 in March, and we all got together in Meridian for his birthday! It was the first time most of Nams' family got to meet Caylee. They all adored her! It was so fun to get to spend time with most of Collin's family! We don't get to do it enough. We are so blessed to have such great families. They truly are our best friends, and we enjoy every minute spent with each of them! And we can't wait to see the influence they will have on Caylee's life! It is going to be so much fun!

Caylee really loves the water! Here she is swimming for the first time! She loved it! This was the smalled swimsuit I could find, and we still had to tie the shoulder straps in little knots! It was pretty cute on her though! Collin was walking really fast with her in the pool, and she was just laughing and kicking her legs! Who knows, maybe she'll be the next Dara Torres!

3 Months Old!

Caylee is three months old today! I can't believe time has gone so fast! She is really doing great! She has slept through the night since she was about 6 weeks old. She takes her last bottle of the night at 10:00 pm and then we have to wake her up at 8:00 am. We've been told she's a trick baby! She's so good, she tricks you into having another one and that child is a hellion! She is so sweet and we are having a blast! Caylee has really developed a personality in the last few weeks! She smiles, coos a lot, and sometimes laughs out loud! It is such a fun stage in her life! We are loving every minute! Thanks for the pictures, Mom!

Caylee is 5 weeks old now! I can't believe it has passed so fast. She has grown so much. I'm not sure what she weighs now, but I think it is somewhere in the ballpark of 9 pounds! My mom took these pictures of Caylee when she was about 10 days old! They are precious!! Bonnie gave me a bracelet that has Caylee's initials and birth date on it! My sister Brittney flew in on Thursday and stayed until Sunday afternoon! She was so much help and it was fun to get to see her meet Caylee! Her and her husband, Brady, are moving home this summer, and we are so excited they will get to be a big part of Caylee's life! My brother and his fiance, Joanna, also came to visit this weekend! It amazes me how small Caylee is compared to Collin's hands! But they are definately Daddy hands! He is so gentle with her and she is totally content to lay in his arms! It is a precious relationship that only God could create! We are so blessed!

Home At Last!

Altough it was a great experience, we were so ready to go home from the hospital! We got to leave Monday, Feb. 2 at about Noon! Nams (Collin's Mom) was waiting at home to greet us, and Grandad and "T" (My Dad and Mom) brought us supper and came over to love on Caylee! It felt so good to be home! Caylee came home wearing the slip of the dress that I came home from the hospital in when I was a baby! The dress swallowed her, but the slip almost fit perfectly! The last picture is funny! Because Caylee was breech until week 35, when you lay her down, her legs pop straight up in the air! We never could get a full picture of the dress because of this! Too cute!

Well, Caylee made it through her last sonogram appointment with flying colors! She had gained a whole 7 ounces in 11 days, enough to keep her above the 10% mark. Today her estimated weight was 5 pounds 13 ounces, putting her at 13%. YEAH! She is going to make it to January 30th! This pretty much ensures she will be coming home from the hospital with us! And we think she will make the 6 pound mark by then also! Thanks for all the prayers and encouragement, and we will post some pictures of her a few days after she makes her arrival on Friday!

Here are a few pictures of Caylee's Room. It is pretty much complete, with the exception of a few tweeks of the little stuff on the shelves, and pictures (which will not be taken until she gets here!). It has been so much fun getting everything together, and she will be surrounded with things given to her by people that already love her so much! My parents bought the baby bed and the sheepskin rug (and a pink BB gun, a girl's got to start early!), Collin's parents bought the bedding and the chandelier (and a super cute diaper bag!), and my grandmother bought the dresser that matches the bed! Much to the surprise of everyone, including myself, there is lots of pink! I seem to like pink more and more these days (weird!), but I absolutely love the way the room turned out! Now all we need is Caylee to make her debut and it will be complete!

Caylee's Scheduled Birthday! (Hopefully)

This pregnancy has been SO easy! I have felt great and time has flown by! And things have gone according as planned until a few weeks ago! Nothing major, but Caylee has dropped to the 16% in weight. The doctor's said there is a possibility she has IUGR (intrauterine growth restriction), and this can be grounds to deliver her early! I am having to go to the doctor twice a week, which is not fun, but I am grateful they are keeping a close watch on her well-being! On Mondays I go for Non-Stress Testing, where they hook me up to a monitor and watch her heart rate in comparison to her movements. So far, she has passed each test! On a few occasions, she has been sleeping while I was being monitored. They come in and use a buzzer to wake her up! Both times it gave her the hiccups, which is funny and feels weird! And then on Thursdays, I go for more Non-Stress Testing and a sonogram, and they measure all her bones and circumferences! She dropped from the 35% to the 16% in only 2 weeks, so the doctors want to make sure she is getting all the nutrients she needs! As long as she stays above the 10%, they have scheduled the C-Section for Friday, January 30. Only 10 days away! We are so excited and can't wait to meet her! We have been blessed with such great family and friends! The past few weeks have been a little un-nerving, but we have been showered with prayers and words of encouragement, and that has truly kept us both at ease! God is good, all the time!
